Yet Another Day

I realize that I may step on some toes with this blog. Some people may not like the idea that someone is willing to stand up against all of the ugliness. What about the ugliness on this site? I am glad you asked that question. This site is but a mirror for another site and comments made by citizens who have nothing better to do than to put people down. If I had to venture a guess, I would say that the same people who are constantly criticizing others have a history.

Were you the same people who walked the halls of school with your head down? Afraid to look up for fear that you would make eye contact with the wrong person? Scuttling off to the next class well before the bell rang because you had nowhere else to be? The head of some obscure club to have a feeling of self worth?

Does this or any other reason give you the right to gang up on people because you never got the chance? I am merely putting the real face on what it is you do with every negative post. You may laugh with your friends and high five each other in private, but think about it...
Do you really believe in your convictions or is it the constant support you feel from "the gang" that motivates you? Your "brothers and sisters" who tell you to keep up the good work and continue the fight. Testing you to go further and push harder until you, "really get'em good".
That sense of elation you feel when you get a great attaboy from someone you want to impress.

Suddenly, you go from the corner of obscurity to the forefront of popularity. It feels good doesn't it? That sudden rush coursing through veins making the hairs on the back of your head tingle. Your mind spins with the possibilities of what the future may hold. What else to say? Better make it better than the last time, don't want to disappoint. Make the next one a real top notch over the top attention getter.

It doesn't matter if the truth gets stretched. You got it from a "source" right? It sounded amazing and hard to believe but it had to be true because you needed something to say. The facts sound right with a little checking. Notice that I just said, "a little"? Later you hear the other side and it sounds more credible but you can't go back. No, no, no we can't go back. If that happens where would you be? You would lose your following, and you would be alone again in the corner.

It's better to think that it was just counter-propaganda. A tool used to put a seed of doubt in the believers. Or was it the truth? You lay in bed at night wondering if you played a good game or just blazed for the sake of recognition. Which is it? A simple game of, "That will teach them! Or an attempt to garner a pat on the back and a post to read when you log on next.
For your sake, I hope it is the latter. Sounds strange doesn't it? At least with the latter you will feel better about yourself if even for the wrong reason. After all, don't we all just want gratification? No matter what the cost............
